Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £43,000 per annum

Location: Andover

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-3pm

Benefits Package: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. Company pension scheme (eligibility after a 3-month probationary period).

Are you a skilled and proactive engineer with a passion for maintaining and improving machinery?

I have been instructed to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our client to ensure the smooth operation of a variety and range of equipment across two sites.

If you have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, I am keen to discuss this opportunity with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of all our equipment, from Steam Boiler heating systems to Hydraulic presses.
  • Identify and resolve issues through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Prioritize and manage workload efficiently to meet operational demands.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Keep the work environment clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Follow quality and administrative procedures with precision and attention to detail.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a maintenance role, with expertise in electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machinery maintenance.

Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage workloads effectively, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge: Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices related to machinery operations.

Driving License: A clean driving license is essential as the role involves travel between two sites.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Recognized apprenticeship in a relevant field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in a maintenance environment.
