Salary: £40k About Us Syntech Recruitment are working with a  leading provider of Electronics Manufacturing Services, specialising in high-technology, mission-critical electronics for global markets. The state-of-the-art facilities and expert engineering teams enable them to design, develop, and deliver innovative electronic solutions with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Role Overview As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that product lines meet production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, implementing process improvements, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and driving innovation in production techniques.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Projects: Support senior engineers and management in project execution, reporting progress, and analyzing data for process improvements.? Process Improvement: Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.? Production Support: Troubleshoot technical issues, improve workflow, and ensure smooth production operations.? Training & Development: Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices, processes, and equipment usage.? Process Validation & Verification: Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process capability studies, and quality assurance measures.? New Product & Process Introduction: Assist in evaluating new designs, creating assembly instructions, designing jigs/fixtures, and ensuring successful product launches.? Quality & Compliance: Work alongside the quality team to address issues, investigate defects, and ensure compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949 standards.? Customer & Supplier Liaison: Review customer documentation, recommend process improvements, and collaborate with suppliers on best practices.? Equipment Maintenance & Optimization: Work with maintenance teams to ensure critical equipment remains operational and assist in repairs when necessary.Qualifications & Experience ?? Minimum: HNC/HND in an engineering or scientific discipline?? Preferred: Degree (BEng/MEng) in Electronics, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering?? Experience: At least 2 years in a relevant manufacturing environment?? Strong knowledge of:
  • Process optimization & automation
  • Lean manufacturing techniques & Six Sigma methodologies
  • Technical drawings, schematics, and engineering principles
  • Root cause analysis & problem-solving (FMEA, 8D, SPC)
  • Industry standards & compliance (ISO9001, IATF16949, IPC
  • Microsoft Office Suite & project management tools
  • Data analysis & reporting for process validation
