Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK's leading companies within specialised agricultural services who are actively seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician to join their Andover location.

This client is a specialist in providing quality services within the realms of contracting, recycling, land drainage, earthworks, groundworks and construction and have been established for over 30 years. The ideal candidate would have experience working on agricultural machinery would be prepared to cover a South-Central patch and will be based within a commutable distance of Andover

Agricultural Engineer Job Overview
  • Maintain and upkeep various self-propelled machines and agricultural equipment.
  • Service, repair, and maintain a range of machines, including LGVs.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Inspect machinery as needed, ensuring repairs are conducted safely and in accordance with approved methods.
  • Conduct initial assessments of faulty plant or equipment, identify root causes, and develop remedies, either as temporary fixes or full-service repairs.
  • Working on and maintaining a range of Agricultural machinery (Tractors, Muck Spreaders etc…) as well as a number of fleet vehicles
Agricultural Engineer Job Requirements
  • Engineering trade qualification, preferably in mechanical engineering or welding.
  • 5 years' experience working on Agricultural machinery
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions when necessary.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving license
  • LGV Class 2 licence would be beneficial
  • Based within a commutable distance of Andover
Agricultural Engineer Salary & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate £19.00 - £22.00 DOE
  • Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00
  • 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
  • Company van
  • Overtime available at higher rate (Likely to only be during high season)
  • End of year discretionary bonus
  • Private Med & 5% Pension
