JOB- Junior CAD EngineerLOCATION- Andover TERM- PermanentSALARY- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment. They are looking to take on a Junior CAD Engineer/Junior Design Engineer to join their team in Andover on a permanent basis. The CAD Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

0-2 years’ experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.
Any previous experience of working with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes would be beneficial
Have a positive outlook and keen willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient using MS Office
Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

The CAD Engineer role will involve:

Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
Producing drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
Liaising with manufacturing providers
Being involved in final assembly of products
Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
Updating 3D models and drawings
Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
Checking drawings for sign off
Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
