Job Description
A genuinely exciting opportunity has arisen with new client to Sapien, they are well established design and manufacturing business, who have a real need for a Mechanical Design Engineer with NPD (new product development) experience and interest.
This role will give the chosen Mechanical Design Engineer the chance to work across a plethora of products, which will without question keep you engaged and challenged from an engineering perspective.
Our client has a real family feel to them, with their staff retention rate being a major strength of theirs, with some being there for over 20 years. They also give a great level of autonomy to those joining, and opportunity too.
Job Responsibilities
- Product Development including concept development
- Working on products across the full life cycle, with heavy involvement in NPD
- Working closely with production line to identify issues and produce improvements
- Liaise with internal and external customers I the development of the product line
Skill Required
- Mechanical Engineering Qualifications (Degree or HND/HNC or apprenticeship)
- 5 Years Design Experience (consider less if relevant experience), with NPD projects
- Ideally worked within the Machinery market or similar
- Sheet Metal and Fabrication Design
Compensation & Other Benefits
- 40,000 to 50,000 per annum + benefits
- Opportunity to build an R&D function and enhance products
- Working with a closeknit team who all have a shared interest for engineering
