About the Company: Our client is a well-established company in the UK, known for its commitment to excellence and employee satisfaction. They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees using Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with HMRC regulations and company policies.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Communication: Liaise with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Year-End Processes: Assist with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using Sage 50 Payroll.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in payroll management or accounting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency in Sage 50 Payroll.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
