Key Account Manager - Andover - Hybrid - 45,000-55,000

Key Account Manager required to join manufacturer of cutting edge technology for the scientific industry, based in Andover.

As the Key Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for strategic customers. You will build and expand relationships at every organisational level, proposing effecting solutions and working closely with internal teams to develop a deep understanding of customer needs.

The role is being offered on a hybrid basis, working two days in the office in Andover. The role also requires some international travel, therefore all applicants must be prepared to travel overseas when needed.

The Package:

Salary 45,000 - 55,000

Commission

A 37.5-hour working week

Flexible working hours

The Role:

  • Defining, developing and implementing strategic plans, over a 3-5-year time scale, including sales growth, pipeline development, relationship management and strategic collaborations.
  • Ensuring my client's development and breakthrough innovations strongly align with customer's needs, by gathering feedback from the market and developing business cases.
  • Identifying risks and anticipating trends to influence future business developments within the sector.
  • Liaising and coordinate with relevant teams to set & monitor pricing and business quality to meet targets in line with the strategic plan.
  • Travelling internationally & within your territory to maximise key customer contact.
  • Managing relationships with industry contacts to ensure successful development of account portfolio.
  • Following up on enquiries made in response to our comprehensive and targeted marketing campaigns including representing company at exhibitions.
  • Preparing and presenting sales internal reports & budgets.
  • Preparing customer reports and presentations for internal & external use.
  • Maintaining our Customer Relationship Management system.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of successful account management experience.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience of working in a scientific or technical industry, or a degree in a related field will be advantageous.
  • Experience of optics, vision systems, microscopy, fluorescence or LED technology for scientific applications would be highly beneficial.
  • Must have proficiency in CRM systems and Office 365 packages,
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally (up to 70% at busy times) with overnight stays.
