This is a full time and permanent role, working a 35 hour week and offers the following benefits:

  • 25 days leave + bank holidays. This increases with loyalty. 
  • Flexible start times between 8am - 9am and flexible finish between 4pm and 5pm. 2pm finish every other Friday. 
  • Hybrid working arrangement - 2 days per week can be worked remotely. Monday's are office days.

We are now looking to expand our finance team with the addition of an Accounts Assistant where the main function for this role will be the general ledger operational finance work and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts;
preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts; together with annual financial accounts and budgets. Additionally, this role will provide cover for the Senior Management Accountant where segregation of duties allows.

You could either be qualified to AAT level, or have gained 3 years QBE. 

It is essential that you have at least 3 years’ experience in the following:

  • Assisting in the production of accurate management accounts from trial balance and assisting with final year-end accounts.
  • Assisting the production of accurate annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience of a full reconciliation process for all types of ledgers, P&L and balance sheet controls (stock, debtors, creditors, VAT/PAYE and accruals/prepayments).
  • You will have practical experience of producing intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations including main balance sheet control accounts.
  • Experience of a fixed asset register (assets under construction) is desirable.
  • Experience of aged stock valuation reporting.
