We are currently supporting a Good-rated secondary school in Andover, seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join their friendly and welcoming team. About the Role:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to raising student attainment through engaging and effective lessons. The school offers a positive and collaborative atmosphere, with a focus on maintaining high standards of teaching and student behaviour. You will have the opportunity to teach across different year groups, including KS3 and KS4, and help students develop their practical and theoretical knowledge in design technology.

The successful candidate should have experience teaching Design Technology, though a formally-recognised teaching qualification is desired but not essential if you hold a degree in Design Technology or a related subject, along with relevant teaching experience. You will be delivering engaging lessons and supporting students as they develop their practical skills in a variety of design and technology areas.

About You:

  • A degree in Design Technology or a related field, with teaching experience in a secondary school setting
  • A formally-recognised teaching qualification is desired, but not essential if you have relevant teaching experience and a degree in DT or similar
  • Passionate about your subject and education
  • Confident in teaching Design Technology across a variety of areas
  • Able to inspire and engage students in a practical learning environment
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues in the department and throughout the school
