Prospero Teaching is looking for a History Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" Secondary school located in Tidworth. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our team and inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Tidworth
Position: Type: Full- Time, Temp- Perm contract
Salary: £31,650- £49,084 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a wide range of historical periods, events, and themes.
- Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, and the use of primary and secondary sources.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and intellectual curiosity.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.
- Organise and participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities related to history and social studies.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching history, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of various historical periods, events, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
