Prospero Teaching is looking for a History Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" Secondary school located in Tidworth. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. This is a forward-thinking and inclusive educational institution dedicated to fostering a love of learning and critical thinking in our students. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our team and inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

Position: Type: Full- Time, Temp- Perm contract

Salary: £31,650- £49,084 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a wide range of historical periods, events, and themes.
  • Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, and the use of primary and secondary sources.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and intellectual curiosity.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.
  • Organise and participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities related to history and social studies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching history, preferably in a school setting.
