Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a long-term, temporary role within a local primary school? Passionate about working with children with additional needs?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with SEMH/SEN experience to support a small number of children within a local primary school. This temporary role is set to start as soon as possible, and is an ongoing position.

The school is based within the heart of Andover, catering to young pupils aged between 3-7 years old. They are a friendly, busy and very caring community with the well-being of all individuals are at the heart of all they do. The staff within the school are committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential across all areas of the curriculum.

As the Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for the support of individuals with Social, Emotional Mental Health, providing assistance to both their class teacher and their learning journeys. You will have a patient and resilient manner, and be keen to promote a positive learning environment where each child can thrive, benefitting from your support.

The salary for this position is currently set between £12.83 to £14 per hour depending on experience, set to start as soon as possible on an ongoing, temporary basis.

For this position, you will be/will need:- Previous experience working with pupils with SEN/SEMH - preferred- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain- A passion for working with children, with a patient and resilient approach- Available five days per week on an ongoing basis- Able to work with Primary students- Right to work in the UK - Sponsorship not available for this position
