Estimator / Surveyor - Interior Fit-Out

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading interior fit-out contractor based near Andover who is searching for an Estimator / Surveyor to join the business.

The company has a long-standing reputation for delivering retail, office, hotel, restaurant and leisure fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, with project values ranging from 200k to £3Million.

The company is entering a sustained busy period going into 2025 and is looking for an Estimator / Surveyor who can price jobs and manage project costs through to final account.

The company willconsider either anassistant or established Estimator or Quantity Surveyor who is open to performing a dual role.

The Role of the Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

  • Responsible for pricing new enquiries and winning new contracts.
  • Responsible for managing project costs, saving money where applicable.
  • To keep a tight control of variations on site, record all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.
  • Manage allocated projects, packages and subcontractors, calculation and preparation of all company valuations and assist with final accounts.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly job cost analysis data.
  • Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.
  • Organise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management.
  • Preparation of final accounts for projects to clients and for sub-contractors.

Requirements of the Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
  • Must be able to price.
  • HNC or Degree qualified.
  • Knowledge of JCT forms of contracts.
  • Have refurbishment or interior fit-out experience
