Job Summary:
Manpower are seeking a reliable and organized Logistic Administrator to join a leading logistic team on a temporary maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks related to logistics and transport operations. You will support day-to-day operations by handling stock management, coordinating with drivers and storemen, and ensuring the smooth running of the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties including answering phone calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries.
  • Print and distribute pick notes on a daily basis to ensure accurate order processing.
  • Book in fresh products using a tablet system and frozen products via PC, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Carry out daily stock transfers from cold stores, keeping stock records up-to-date.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance on a daily basis, reporting any defects or issues to the manager.
  • Work closely with storemen and drivers, assisting with planning routes and scheduling runs.
  • Assist with logistics coordination by liaising with drivers and managing run sheets.
  • Provide trustworthy and consistent support to the logistics team.


Requirements:

(Due to location, Personal transport would be preffered)

  • Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with storemen, drivers, and the wider team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competence in using tablets and PCs for stock management and reporting.
