My client is seeking a Technical Senior Design Engineer to join their Major Projects team. This role is critical to achieving their mission of 'making lasting connections with customers to improve their lives.'

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and deliver compliant and fit-for-purpose designs in line with business targets.

- Identify and address design-related costs and programme impacts.

- Provide design reviews for team members to ensure the quality of design packs.

- Participate in ongoing training to identify requirements and develop training programmes.

- Drive efficiency by monitoring team performance against productivity standards.

About You:

- Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.

- Demonstrable experience within the ICP industry, delivering 11kV and 20kV complex designs.

- Experience in designing primary substations from 33kV to 132kV is advantageous.

- Previous experience in design project management.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/GIS, Trimble, IPSA, and Cableizer.

- Familiarity with current legislation, technical standards, codes of practice, and engineering recommendations.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring critical paths are met.

- Proactive, approachable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
