Job Title: Data Protection Officer
Location: Arbroath
Hours:Part-Time (21.75 hours per week, flexible hours)
Contract:Temporary, with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Protection Officer. This role is crucial in ensuring the meticulous management and protection of sensitive documentation in compliance with data protection legislation.
Main Duties:
- Thoroughly understand and apply data protection laws and relevant legislation
- Review sensitive documentation, ensuring all files are accurately matched and organised
- Label, catalogue, and cross-reference files to ensure consistency with the spreadsheet records
- Handle manual tasks involving the physical management and organisation of files
- Comprehend and enforce the retention period for different categories of files
- Photocopying files
- Processing Invoices
- Processing timesheets for residential team
- Producing letters, meeting letters, agenda letters & meeting invites
Person Requirements:
- Clear understanding of GDPR legislation
- A motivated individual who can adapt to a variety of tasks
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive data with the up most care and confidentiality
- Willingness to contribute ideas for improving processes and enhancing efficiency
- Capable of manual handling and physical management of documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
