More About the Role of an Estimator- This Estimator role is based in Essex, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with Operations and Project teams. You will survey sites, issue quotes, coordinate projects, and order materials.

Key Responsibilities as an Estimator-

  • Review estimates from engineers and contractors to ensure they meet client needs and company objectives within specified time limits.
  • Issue quotes in accordance with company KPIs and SLAs.
  • Maintain commercial awareness and understand financial targets for materials, plant, and labor.
  • Update and input data on internal and external IT systems.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within required timescales and company KPIs and SLAs.
  • Communicate effectively via email and phone to ensure quality and timely delivery within budget.
  • Compile risk assessments and ensure permits are in place before works.
  • Ensure tasks are fulfilled to avoid abortive calls and fees.
  • Resolve compliance-related issues and upload relevant certifications.
  • Assist with uploading worksheets and certifications for payment applications.
  • Liaise with engineers and subcontractors for missing information to ensure accurate margins.
  • Apply correct rates to tasks and ensure actual work is within set SLAs.
  • Investigate overspend and ensure processes are followed by operations support, engineers, and contractors.
  • Travel as required for business and training.
  • Coordinate and produce project summary reports.
  • Maintain and update systems for recording project costs.
  • Relevant training and support will be provided for business needs and personal development.

What You Need to be a successful Estimator-

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within property management and FM industry.
