Analytical Technical Leader

Craigavon

Our client is a global leader in providing a range of expert services and support across the drug development lifecycle.

As an Analytical Team Leader and in collaboration with the wider team, your focus will be fostering a continuous improvement environment, while participating in complex projects, and identifying opportunities for process and business improvement.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, ranging from early phase clinical studies to commercial readiness for API small molecules up to larger complex molecules and across a wide range of therapeutic indications.

The Role

  • To provide technical and operational leadership, training and coaching to Senior Analysts, Analysts and Technicians.
  • To take full ownership for, the analytical activities required as part of their assigned projects. Identifying technical problems/issues, developing solutions and fully implementing these solutions with agreement from their line manager/departmental manager where appropriate.
  • To define the analytical strategy for new and ongoing projects. Support Senior Analysts with strategy setting and approve the approaches they propose.
  • To actively manage the performance of Senior Analysts, Analysts and Technicians assigned as their direct and indirect reports.

The Person

  • Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment
  • Previous experience within a supervisory role
  • Experience in method development and/or validation
