Hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. There is flexibility on the working hours. Both full-time and part-time is available.


Salary: 23,000 - 28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Company/Position:


My client is a Chartered multi-disciplinary consultancy that specialise in providing environmental assessments, sustainability and energy consultancy services to the construction industry. They work on a wide range of projects, offering expertise in areas such as BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes, and energy performance certificates. Their services aim to help clients achieve their sustainability goals and comply with environmental regulations. Due to high demand for they are looking for an Assistant Acoustic Consultant to join the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting both attended and unattended noise surveys for various projects across the UK, including occasional night and weekend work.
  • Assisting senior personnel to guarantee successful project delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to grasp their needs.
  • Coordinating with Environmental Health Officers.
  • Performing assessments in line with BREEAM and different codes.
  • Writing technical reports.


Skills Required:
  • Hold a degree in Sound Engineering or Audio Production (similar degrees will be considered).
  • Working towards or hold the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.
  • Have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Attend site surveys across the UK and be able to stay away from home at least 1 night per week. Weekend work may be needed.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant British Standards and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of health and safety.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Strong IT skills including Word and Excel.
