Key Responsibilities

As Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager, you will:

  • Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
  • Provide high-quality leadership and management to the team, including rotad on-call duties.
  • Model excellent parental care and therapeutic practice, inspiring your team to deliver consistent and effective care.
  • Support the professional development of staff by fostering their understanding of therapeutic childcare.
  • Help children to manage emotions, build healthier relationships, and improve their self-esteem in a safe and structured environment.
  • Commit to delivering exceptional care and improving outcomes for children through psychoanalytic and trauma-informed approaches.

About You

We are looking for a committed, creative, and dynamic individual with:

  • Experience:At least 2 years of childcare experience.
  • Qualifications:Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Skills:A strong understanding of therapeutic care, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for supporting vulnerable children.
  • Other Requirements:Full UK driving licence.
