We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly professional Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team at an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ School. The ideal candidate will have experience in special needs and will be eager to take advantage of the excellent training and support we offer. Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions to children and young people under the guidance of a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
- Provide in-class support to address speech and language needs.
- Conduct speech and language screening for all students.
- Assist with provision mapping in relation to speech and language needs, particularly with reference to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Prepare student reports for Annual Reviews.
- Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
- Previous experience with speech and language therapy is advantageous.
- Speech and language qualifications are preferred, though in-house training will be provided.
- A collaborative spirit to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Our department is a large multi-disciplinary team that includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dramatherapists, Music Therapists, Wellbeing Practitioners, Play Therapists, and Animal Supported Therapy professionals. Training is provided within the school during our training programme and regularly throughout the term.
