We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly professional Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team at an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ School. The ideal candidate will have experience in special needs and will be eager to take advantage of the excellent training and support we offer. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver speech and language therapy sessions to children and young people under the guidance of a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Provide in-class support to address speech and language needs.
  • Conduct speech and language screening for all students.
  • Assist with provision mapping in relation to speech and language needs, particularly with reference to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Prepare student reports for Annual Reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Previous experience with speech and language therapy is advantageous.
  • Speech and language qualifications are preferred, though in-house training will be provided.
  • A collaborative spirit to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

Our department is a large multi-disciplinary team that includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dramatherapists, Music Therapists, Wellbeing Practitioners, Play Therapists, and Animal Supported Therapy professionals.
