Position Details:

• Role: 1:1 Mental Health Assistant
• Salary: £83 - £95 per day
• Contract: Long-Term Temporary with potential for permanent
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Are you passionate about mental health and eager to support young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges? A specialist school in Ascot is looking for a 1:1 Mental Health Assistant to provide dedicated support to students who need guidance in managing their emotions, behaviour, and daily school life.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children who have complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping them develop confidence, self-regulation skills, and positive coping strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support for students struggling with mental health and emotional regulation.
• Assist in implementing personalised strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a structured and nurturing environment.
• Help students develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.
• Foster positive relationships to encourage trust and emotional well-being.
