A thriving specialist primary school in Ascot, Berkshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about education and keen to make a meaningful impact on young learners.
In this role, you will work closely with students in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, providing tailored support in literacy and numeracy. The school also offers the opportunity for teacher training in your second year, making this an ideal starting point for those with aspirations to teach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the classroom to ensure students remain engaged and meet learning objectives.
- Provide small-group or one-to-one support in numeracy and literacy activities.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
- Foster the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
Ideal Candidate:
- A graduate with a 2:2 or above in any discipline (Education, Psychology, or related fields are advantageous).
- Passionate about working with young people and making a difference in their education.
- Experience working with children, whether through youth work, sports coaching, or similar roles, is desirable but not essential.
- Organised, proactive, and committed to the full academic year.
Details:
- Role: Teaching Assistant in SEN School
- Location: Ascot
- Start Date: Immediate
- Pay: 83 - 95 per day (dependent on experience, qualifications, and training).
- Contract: Long-term temporary, with the potential for permanent roles.
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
- Experience: Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
