IMC Locums are seeking an experienced Locum Sterile Services Technician based in Berkshire. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use in a sterile environment. The role requires quick adaptation to our facility's procedures and the ability to maintain high standards of safety and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:
Decontamination and Cleaning: Clean and disinfect medical instruments and equipment according to strict hospital protocols.
Inspection and Preparation: Inspect instruments for damage or wear, and assemble surgical sets accurately.
Sterilization: Operate sterilization equipment, ensuring instruments are sterile and safe for use in surgeries and other procedures.
Packaging and Distribution: Package sterile instruments and distribute them to relevant departments, ensuring they meet the hospital's requirements.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment checks.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing and replenishing the stock of sterile supplies.

Experience:
Previous experience working in a sterile services or central sterilization department, ideally in a hospital or clinical setting.
Prior locum or temporary role experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with surgical and healthcare teams.
Knowledge of infection control and health & safety regulations.
