Are you passionate about German and experienced in providing tailored educational support? We are seeking a dedicated and patient tutor to work with a Key Stage 4 (KS4) learner in Ascot. This role requires in-person tutoring and provides the opportunity to make a real impact on a motivated and enthusiastic student.
Key Details:
- Position:KS4 German Tutor
- Location: At the student’s residence in Ascot
- Frequency: 1 hour per day (3 days per week) - timings and days are flexible
- Duration: Ongoing
Aim:The goal is to provide consistent and supportive KS4 German tuition to a Year 10 student. The focus will be on fostering their understanding of key German language, developing exam skills, and building confidence in a tailored, one-on-one environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the KS4 German curriculum.
- Tailor the learning experience to meet the unique needs of the student, who is autistic and thrives in a supportive, personalised setting.
- Provide clear explanations of how to speak and write in German.
- Offer regular feedback to the student to build confidence and encourage progress.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and motivating environment.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the KS4 German curriculum (GCSE level).
- Experience teaching or tutoring history, particularly with students who have additional needs such as autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and adaptable approach to learning.
- Ability to travel to the student’s residence in Ascot for in-person sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience.
- Degree in German or a related field.
- Familiarity with GCSE examination boards (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
