Offering a starting salary of 55,000, regular performance based bonus's and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, childcare and more, a leading automotive OEM is looking to expand the design team. An Embedded Software Engineer position that will give you the opportunity to develop industry leading automotive technology has become available.

Embedded Software Engineer duties include:

  • Design, validate, and test chassis ECU software while defining system/software requirements.
  • Develop and manage software development plans, test cases, validation plans, bug fixes, and releases.
  • Provide support for fault finding, software debugging, and network integration.
  • Conduct testing and validation of chassis systems in alignment with associated systems' Development Verification Plan (DVP) & System requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards for system validation.
  • Implement ASPICE working practices.

Embedded Software Engineer key skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Software, Control Systems (or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Model Based Design using MATLAB and SIMULINK.
  • Experience coding in C/C++

Embedded Software Engineer desirable skills/experience:

  • Experience within OEM or Tier 1 Automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in chassis control software and Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
  • Familiarity with Vector toolsets such as CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, and vFlash, including associated hardware.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR workflows and associated Vector toolsets like DaVinci.
  • Ability to create and validate software test cases.
  • Knowledge of software integration, software release baselines, diagnostics (ODBII) requirements, and CAN messages/signal definition.
  • Strong understanding of electronic component test validation and certifications.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 for functional safety and its implementation.
