Tax Senior Job Vacancy

As a Tax Senior in Ashbourne, you will play a crucial lead role in the personal tax department of this independent chartered firm of accountants, overseeing the provision of various personal tax compliance and advisory services. We’re seeking a candidate who has chosen to niche down their career into the field of tax. You’ll likely be studying towards your ACA/ACCA/CTA or ATT or already qualified.

The role will involve the preparation and review of personal tax computations and returns as well as providing tax advisory services to clients, addressing their specific needs and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. You’ll lead the team, manage workflow and stay on top of deadlines and client relationships.

Job Purpose

  • Leading the service provision for a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, championing excellence.
  • Building good rapport with clients, proactively handling tax queries.
  • Leading client meetings.
  • Supporting the managers with winning new business.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Working closely with management to prepare and submit tax returns.
  • Preparation of tax advice for client reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with technical research to support complex tax issues.
  • Championing your own professional development with an eagerness to learn and progress.
  • Support the wider team with ad hoc duties as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
