We have a fixed-term Transport Administrator role available within Aggregate Industries. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and experience using Google Sheets.

Role: Transport AdministratorLocation: Aggregate Industries, Smith Hall Lane, Hulland Ward, Derbyshire, DE6 3ETRate: Equivalent of up to £25,000 per yearContract length: Approx. until OctoberShift Patterns: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Calling customers to book deliveries.

  • Booking deliveries online.

  • Answering queries from the Sales Team.

  • Speaking with drivers for updates on deliveries.

  • Negotiating rates with hauliers.

  • Supporting the planners with any other ad hoc tasks.

Essential requirements:

  • Strong administrative background with excellent organizational skills.

  • Experience with Google Mail and Google Sheets is a must.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable requirements:

  • Logistics experience is beneficial but not essential.
