Billing Manager | Temporary | Ashby-de-la-Zouch |Hybrid | Up to £175pd / £45k
Macildowie are working exclusively with a business in Ashby-de-la-Zouch going through a period of change, who are looking for an experienced Billing Manager to join them on a temporary basis. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in the office, and occasional travel to Coventry.
The key focus of the role will be to support the day-to-day management of the billing function and assist with the outsourcing of key processes to an SSC. You'll lead a team of 4 administrators, ensure accurate and timely invoicing of complex customer accounts, and work closely with both internal operations and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 4 billing administrators
- Day-to-day team management including holidays, sickness, appraisals
- Ensure timely and accurate billing of complex customer accounts
- Support the outsourcing of transactional tasks to Shared Service Centres (India/Sofia)
- Liaise with internal departments and customers to ensure all necessary PO/backing is in place
- Ensure team training and access to systems/portals is maintained
- Monitor UK invoicing to ensure invoice and due dates are aligned correctly
- Ensure all invoicing is completed in line with month-end deadlines
- Communicate key billing timetables to the wider business
- Provide hands-on support to the team where required
Systems Knowledge (Essential/Highly Desirable):
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- JD Edwards
- SAP
What We're Looking For:
- A confident and experienced billing/finance professional who can operate independently
- Comfortable leading a team through change
- Able to pick up and run with things without too much guidance
- Previous experience managing change / projects
- Comfortable working in a hybrid set-up with occasional travel to Coventry
