We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our growing network on a temp to perm basis
If you want be part of a team that plays a vital part of the delivery process, then this is the role for you! Our client is responsible for the delivery to a number of clients nationwide. Support is always available as we know that things can arise daily when navigating British roads, the friendly transport team are always available to help you a navigate through any issues.
Pay rates and Job description:
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern or Monday to Friday
- Days - Approx 05;00 start
- £15.50 per hour - OT rates apply where applicable
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- Afternoon - Approx 15;00 start
- £16.75 per hour - OT rates apply where applicable
- We can pay upfront holiday if you wish - speak to our team about this
- Ensuring all units and trailers/Moffetts (£15.00 bonus per shift) are checked as per process and are legal to be on the road.
- Load security includes strapping using internal and ratchet strapping.
- Delivering to all parts of UK and to store deliveries (If applicable)
- Paperwork is completed as per process and good communication via the transport night team.
- Flexible start times and overtime available.
- Filling up at the end of the shift.

Essential skills and requirements for a HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Experienced Class 1
- We require you to have a full UK Driving Licence with a HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlement.
- An up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card)
- In date Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 points on your Driving Licence (No CD, DD, DR, DG Convictions)
Experienced qualified drivers are required and all drivers are expected to undertake a short driving assessment which includes a brief written test so basic English is required to complete this.
