We are seeking a Project Engineer with a heavy engineering background who is able to support customers when it comes to aftermarket services or parts. This Project Engineer position will involve liaising with customers to discuss machinery enquiries, checking the machine against archived systems, and identifying the required parts to provide a solution. New parts may need to be identified depending on the age of machine, so we need someone who is proactive to reach out to suppliers. Given the nature of the role and machinery used, we do require someone who has a good amount of experience reviewing engineering drawings within the heavy engineering sector.

The Project Engineer Aftermarket job will involve:

• Delivering engineering drawings to support aftermarket, operations, and customers.
• Working with BOMs / Bill of materials to identify existing parts.
• Guiding design draughtsmen in the department and sign off engineering drawings as checked work.
• Liaising with suppliers to identify solutions for obsolete parts.

This Project Engineer - Aftermarket jobs role will suit:

• An experienced Engineer who enjoys working from a range of engineering drawings.
• Given the size of machinery, we need someone who comes from a heavy engineering / plant equipment background.
• Prior experience working within aftermarket services would be an advantage but not essential for the role.
• Strong communicator and problem solver. Someone who can liaise with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to a professional standard.
• Hold a formal qualification within a mechanical / electrical engineering discipline.
