A large housing association has a need for an Experienced Building Surveyor with excellent IT skills (using teams) to work on a temp contract for a 6-month period. Working in the building compliance team, you will be working as a Building Compliance Surveyor.The RoleProviding Technical expertise as a Compliance Surveyor for Asbestos, fire, electrical and gas compliance.Prepare reports on any fire suppression works needed Scope and tender for any works neededManage works on site and post inspection on completion check and sign off final paymentOverseeing the Compliance, Repairs, and Cap Ex works to the portfolio of domestic premisesInspection of Schemes, liaison with Scheme ManagersUndertaking Risk Assessment inspections and instructing contractors to carry out rectification of non-compliance, Initiating and managing a programme of works and managing works on site, in liaison with scheme staffAttendance on site with various consultants to sign off worksTravel will be throughout the East Midlands region and so this role is mainly home based with a visit to the office once a week.About YouYou will need to be a qualified Building Surveyor or have a relevant trade background and experience as a surveyor.You will be an expert in social housing maintenance and have excellent IT skills.You will be knowledgeable in regard to EICR compliance, LGSR and the Building Safety Act.What you'll get in returnWeekly pay, holiday pay and pension if PAYE, or Umbrella.
