About the Role:Macildowie Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader on behalf of our client. This 12-month fixed-term role is perfect for a skilled credit controller who enjoys team leadership and has a proven record in debt recovery. You'll play a key role in maintaining cash flow and guiding a team of six, ensuring consistent results and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of 6 Credit Control Administrators, providing guidance and resolving queries.
  • Conduct monthly 1:1 sessions with team members to offer coaching, reinforce best practices, and enhance performance.
  • Personally manage a small portfolio of complex or high-profile accounts.
  • Oversee debtor balances, working to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and improve payment timeliness.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide aged debt insights to the Credit & Collections Manager.
  • Work cross-departmentally to resolve outstanding customer queries and improve collections processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance with GDPR, and uphold excellent customer service.
  • Set and work toward KPIs, fostering a positive, high-performing team environment.

Requirements:Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit control, with a solid grasp of end-to-end processes.
  • Strong communicator with a tenacious, professional approach.
  • Proven experience in resolving queries and consistently meeting targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quick to adapt to new IT systems.

Desirable

  • Previous team leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or Salesforce.

  • Organised, analytical, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with high standards of accuracy.
  • Positive, patient, and personable, with a solution-oriented approach.
