Who are we looking for?

We now have an opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist at our Ashby site. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers, both internal and external, with a wide range of technical enquiries / requirements, whilst balancing commercial needs. You will achieve a thorough understanding of all Electrolube product divisions, typical applications, customer requirements and production processes. Your internal customers will include Sales, Production, Marketing, Customer Services and Quality Assurance.

What will you be doing?
  • Assist the team in answering technical enquiries, speaking directly with the Global Sales Team and end users.
  • Manage the enquiries into a group technical support email mailbox and ensure that all enquiries/tasks are completedin line with the team KPIs.
  • Conduct research, manage various forms of information,and construct answers for others, putting technical information into an understandable and easily readable format. Communicate with the R&D team, gathering additional data when available.
  • Assist the Marketing department with various documents and information, including hazard/regulatory information on product artwork, writing technical support documents, article reviews and social media contributions.
  • Attend exhibitions. Visit key customers with the relevant members of the Global Sales Team to gain knowledge and to help understand customer requirements within the technical support role.
  • Carry out various administration tasks, including the management of Technical Data Sheets, Safety Data Sheets, Manufacturing Specifications, and customer statements. Produce Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Certificates of Conformity (CoC) for customers, when requested.
  • Efficiently communicate any new customer potentials to the Global Sales Team.
  • Offer technical training on the product range for customers and distributors, and internal training for other departments.
  • Support the Regulatory Department with enquiries and internal projects related to various legislative requirements, including but not limited to RoHS, REACH, H&S, GHS, and CLP. Offer technical support to other business areas with data management and reporting.
  • Carry out tasks in the laboratory, such as analyse or inspect samples and process simple product applications.
  • Multi-task and deal with a wide variety of requests at once, making sure that the workload is prioritised accordingly and ensuring that project deadlines are met.
  • This role is predominately office based. You will be based in the Laboratory or Warehouse when inspecting samples and this may involve some low level manual handling. The wearing of PPE is a requirement.
Who are You?

Ideally, you will have:

  • Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or relevant field/relevant experience
  • Excellent practical experience of Microsoft 365 programs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Practical approach to work
  • Independent, analytical and solution orientated
  • Highly organised and methodical
