Job Title: Town Planner

Location: Ashby de la Zouche

My client is seeking a motivated individual to support and grow the Infrastructure Planning Team, providing top-tier planning consultancy services.

As part of a leading 800-person strong business, you'll collaborate across divisions, develop new client relationships, and take the lead on exciting planning projects, including renewable energy (solar parks, utilities, hydrogen), infrastructure, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritise your caseload effectively
  • Deliver high-quality, bespoke advice to clients
  • Prepare initial site reviews, strategies, and manage planning applications
  • Build strong relationships with professionals such as architects, ecologists, and engineers
  • Engage positively with clients, Planning Officers, Councillors, and the public
  • Lead project meetings and negotiations to secure the best outcomes for clients
  • Support team members, share workloads, and collaborate on projects
  • Manage budgets, time recording, and invoicing

About You:

  • MRTPI qualified (or close to submission)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivation
  • Team player with attention to detail and strong time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of the planning market
