JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Warehouse and Operations Manager.
This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced warehouse and operations manager who is looking for an exciting move to join an expanding, privately owned company whose heart lies is always delivering the best stock to their clients. You will be heading up, leading and developing a team and being a solution focused warehouse professional who can implement processes and streamline activities to maximise time and money.
Perhaps you work in a large set up and are now looking to develop further in a standalone role where you can be in a smaller team and lead it to further success.
Role profile:
- To effectively manage the entire warehouse operation, the premises and to include fleet management
- Manage budgets
- Lead and motivate the team
- Manage all incoming and outgoing goods effectively and efficiently
- Identify new ways of working to improve the performance of the operation
- Managing inventory
- Picking and packing stock
- Stock counts
- Manage all health & safety regulations
- Organising machinery and vehicle servicing
- Manage drivers
- Train new staff and carry out regular ongoing staff training
- To work very closely with all internal departments to deliver a seamless warehouse operation
- Planning to ensure you are aware of all purchases to allocate the correct amount of stock
- Set, implement and measure key KPIs
- Effectively lead the team, identifying talent to nurture, mentor and develop
Person profile:
- Must be a highly experienced leader and motivator
- Able to streamline processes and implement new ones
- A solution focused individual who can solve problems and come up with answers
- Motivated, proactive and able to effectively make decisions
- Ability to set and complete priorities, achieve targets and respond quickly and flexibly to changing needs and tight deadlines
- Excellent time management and able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external teams, including senior staff and clients
Essential criteria:
- Demonstrable experience of running a depot or warehouse operation
- Line management and leadership experience are essential.
- Knowledge and experience of 1:2:1s
- Health & safety knowledge
- Setting and measuring KPIs

- Experience of using an ERP system
