My client are looking for a Lettings Negotiator to join their fantastic team in Ashby! They are a highly regarded and successful property & lettings agent, as well as a firm of chartered surveyors, land agents, auctioneers and valuers and are proud to be experts in each of the areas that they cover.

They have 7 regional offices in the Midlands, and an office in London allowing them to work closely with clients with land & property interests throughout the Midlands & beyond.

The Role:

They are seeking an experienced Lettings Negotiator to complement the existing residential lettings team at their Ashby de la Zouch branch. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, to be a key player within an expanding and diversifying business. This will be a rewarding position with opportunities for progression, as the company continues to grow.

The prime objective will be to work within the lettings team to developing market share within the local and surrounding areas through strong relationship building and delivering excellent service standards.

In this role, day to day you can expect to:

  • Efficiently deal with customer enquiries on the phone, by email and in person
  • Register prospective tenants and landlords
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing landlords
  • Manage diary and time productively
  • Arrange and accompany viewings to company standards
  • Schedule routine inspection appointments
  • Maintain compliance within industry regulations and internal processes
  • Negotiate new tenancies with landlords and tenants
  • Arrange and schedule property maintenance visits with contractors
  • Work with the Lettings Manager to identify new business opportunities

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic
  • Well-presented, professional and articulate
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Strong communication skills - both written & verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to deal with conflict / complaints in a calm manner
  • IT literate (MS Office, internet, email systems)
  • Ability to commute to Ashby de la Zouch

Desirable:

  • Previous residential lettings experience
  • Experience of using AltoPM
  • Arla qualified
