Financial Controller

Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join our client’s team on the outskirts of Ashford. This contract position is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to play a key role in steering the financial direction of the company during a period of transition.

• Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure credibility of the finance team by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to the Company.

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficient in business planning, legal issues, and finance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting or related field.
