Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all financial activities of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing management with comprehensive insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls, policies, and procedures, safeguarding the organisation's assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise and guidance on business strategies.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and communicate with external auditors.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and industry best practises, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Coach, mentor, and support a team of finance professionals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIMA or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • Experience as a Financial Controller.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and implementing process improvements.
