The Role of Group Financial Controller

Reporting to the Finance Director, your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Financial lead on leadership team meetings
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Monthly management accounts including the month end close process:

o Closing the sub-ledgers

o Flash reporting

o Accruals and prepayments

o Month end balance sheet reconciliations

o Fixed assets

  • Group cash forecasting and management, including group financing arrangements
  • Completion and submission of the quarterly VAT returns and other statutory compliance
  • Preparing and submitting the annual statutory account and associated tax filings
  • Leading the management/improvement of the ERP system

The Candidate for Group Financial Controller

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the Manufacturing/Construction industry.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, and compliance ideally including IFRS15 and 16
  • Expertise in contract evaluation, investment appraisal, and corporate tax matters.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

This can be a hybrid or largely remote role but you must be prepared to visit The head office which is in Kent once a week
