Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Head of Technical - Account Management to join their business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with senior customer teams, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
* Coordinate and accompany retail customer personnel on grower and packhouse visits, resolving issues efficiently for win-win outcomes.
* Ensure seamless collaboration between technical and commercial teams to deliver the best results for customers and suppliers.
* Oversee the preparation of high-quality reports for management, supplier, and customer meetings, contributing your expertise where needed.
* Support marketing and commercial teams with food safety, social, and environmental crisis plans, and execute them when required.
* Work with internal teams to reduce complaints and drive consistency in quality, particularly for branded products.
* Manage own-label innovation projects, collaborating with growers, R&D teams, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
* Analyse KPIs, address root causes of poor performance, and implement data-driven strategies for ongoing improvement.
* Manage department budgets effectively while developing influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Partner with R&D teams on varietal development, ensuring smooth transitions and customer satisfaction.
About you:
* Proven track record in a leading technical account management role in food or produce is required
* Able to demonstrate clear understanding of retailer standards
* Excellent communication and people skills
