Our global client based in Kent are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join them to support the creation of a new FP&A division for the business. This is a key role reporting to the Head of Finance, you will provide strategic analysis and insight into business performance whilst having team management responsibility. This role is hybrid with 1-2 days a week in the Ashford office.
You must be at a minimum ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified accountant with a strong business partnering/commercial skill set.
The main tasks include
- Provide support and review on all new business opportunities with particular focus on ensuring all opportunities are costed correctly as part of the Financial Analysis process
- Provide finance support for ad-hoc projects including opportunity modelling and business cases.
- Manage and report any project costs and benefits providing commentary and corrective action.
- Co-ordinate the quarterly reforecast and Budget process providing detailed insight into any movements and analysis on trends.
- Manage P&L, Balance sheet and month end process for any project based accounts.
- Prepare financial analysis and support on any capital acquisition projects.
- Provide analysis and support in the volume forecasting process including ensuring workday is fully updated.
- Undertake strategic analysis to feed into the long-term financial plan
- Ad-hoc research into factors affecting performance including trend analysis, forecasting and review
- Develop and manage financial systems/models (e.g., SAP, BW)
- Supervise and develop direct reports
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Recent experience in a strategic Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Management Accountant
- The ideal candidate will have team management experience
- You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and rapport in the business
- You will have knowledge and confidence to understand trends and results
- Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modelling are essential
- Strong communication and partnering skills across all levels up to Exec level
