Job Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist to join our dynamic team in Ashford, Kent. We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver high-quality paediatric audiology services as part of our comprehensive care provision.

You will play a vital role in providing diagnostic audiology assessments, rehabilitation, and ongoing support to children and young people with hearing concerns. This position offers excellent exposure to a diverse caseload and a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting a range of audiological assessments for children, including diagnostic hearing tests, tympanometry, and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
  • Providing recommendations for hearing aids and rehabilitation services for children.
  • Supporting the development of care plans and treatment options in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in line with professional standards.
  • Working closely with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care and a holistic approach to management.
  • Participating in audit and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery.

Essential Criteria:

  • HCPC registered Audiologist (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in paediatric audiology, including hearing assessments and rehabilitation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy caseload.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current paediatric audiology practices and guidelines.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary safeguarding environment.
  • Additional post-graduate qualifications in paediatric audiology or related fields.
