Our client, a leader in the medical manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Device R&D Engineer to join their team in Ashford. This permanent position involves performing engineering work that requires full competency in all conventional aspects of engineering, utilising judgement in the independent evaluation and adaptation of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting engineering activities of moderate scope or difficulty
  • Handling assignments independently with limited supervision as to expected results
  • Troubleshooting product problems
  • Preparing documentation associated with engineering activities
  • Conducting testing for assigned projects
  • Designing products using CAD, and updating drawings as needed (training provided)
  • Resolving moderate technical issues and ensuring technical work meets specified requirements
  • Contributing to corrective action development and alternatives
  • Following requirements of SOPs
  • Mentoring Engineering Interns
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards
  • Participating in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:

A successful candidate for the role of Medical Device R&D Engineer Lv 2 will have:

  • Scientific University Degree (BS degree) or equivalent work experience
  • 4-year engineering degree or similar, with understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and techniques

Additionally, candidates should have strong abilities including:

  • Working with integrity and building trust
  • Moderate problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Critically reviewing and interpreting technical documentation
  • Working accurately and with attention to detail
