Haynes Bros. Ltd is a leading truck sales, maintenance and service provider for our Iveco franchise. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality service to our clients, ensuring their vehicles remain in optimal condition.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HGV Driver to collect and deliver customer vehicles for the service department. You will also be required to road test vehicles and take them for MOT testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting and delivering vehicles safely.
  • Loading vehicles with test weights and carrying out brake testing.
  • Conducting pre-checks on vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and reporting any issues or damages promptly.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Adhering to regulations to ensure compliance with UK road traffic laws, transport regulations, and company policies, including those related to tachographs, working time directives, and vehicle loading limits.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs for vehicles.
  • Organising the yard to improve efficiency and customer service.

Experience & Qualifications

  • C HGV Class 2 driving licence (essential)
  • C+E HGV Class 1 driving licence (desirable).
  • Experience in driving heavy goods vehicles.
  • Knowledge of UK driving regulations.
  • Ability to complete and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail for conducting vehicle inspections and identifying any potential issues.
