About The George;

The George has been a drinking establishment since the 17th century and became a licensed pub in 1841. It is in the heart of the village of Bethersden in Kent, opposite Marchants Butchers, the Post Office and Stores, with a hairdresser and beauticians nearby. The Pub has both a public bar and lounge bar with a restaurant seating around 30 covers.

Following closure during Covid, The pub was successfully purchased by the community in January 2023 and following renovation successfully re-opened at the end of May 2023.
