Our client, a leading company in the highways and transportation (HTP) sector, is currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on a highways maintenance scheme, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing on-site activities for highways maintenance projects
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project schedules
- Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met
- Preparing progress reports and attending site meetings
- Identifying and resolving any issues or delays on-site
- Ensuring effective communication between the site team and project managers
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, particularly within highways maintenance
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related discipline
