Health & Safety Manager

£45k - £50k DOE

Our well-established client working within the waste industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Health & SafetyManagerto join their team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well renowned organisation and be part of a growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Responsibilities:


  • Creating and implementing health and safety policies to promote a culture of safety
  • Identifying potential hazards and assessing risks to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Conducting training sessions to educate employees on safety practices and emergency procedures
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Ensuring the organisation complies with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Maintaining records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions, and preparing reports for management
  • Providing guidance on safety-related matters, such as fire safety, hazardous materials, and occupational health
  • Developing and implementing emergency response plans and conducting drills
  • Regularly reviewing and updating safety policies and procedures to improve workplace safety
  • Previous experience of environmental assessment reporting would be beneficial

Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar role is essential
  • Health and safety qualification
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of health and safety
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Team Player
