About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Contracts Assistant to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all commercial risks are assessed, managed, and mitigated while providing expert support on contractual matters.

The post holder will work closely with key stakeholders, including Project Managers, Sales, Management to develop and maintain efficient contract processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Additionally, you will offer guidance and supervision to the Commercial Contracts Administrator when required.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating client contracts, assessing risks, and ensuring agreements align with company policies. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate contract records, supporting the continuous improvement of commercial procedures, and deputising for the Commercial Contracts Manager when necessary.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake continuous professional development to ensure skills and knowledge remain up to date, so that our contracts remain fully compliant.

The position is based at our offices in Ashford, Kent and the successful candidate must live within a daily commuting distant of our Ashford Office.

What skills and experience are required to perform this role?

  • You will have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, ensuring administrative duties are completed within agreed timeframes to a high and consistent standard.
  • The ability to evidence contractual skills and awareness.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP would be beneficial however training will be provided to the successful applicant.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Strong and reliable administrative skills.
  • A willingness and ability to undertake training courses, such as Foundation in Quantity Surveying and Construction Contract and Law courses.
