We are currently seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join our client's team on behalf of Reed Accountancy & Finance, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner. This temporary position is based in Ashford and offers a skilled professional the opportunity to play a key role in managing our client’s credit control functions.

Senior Credit Controller Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and oversee the entire credit control process, including the management of debt recovery and risk.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity and ensure that all communication with customers is logged.
  • Implement credit control procedures to ensure timely payments from clients and reduce the incidence of bad debts.
  • Issue customer statements and final demands where necessary.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve outstanding queries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Prepare reports on the status of credit for the management team.
  • Negotiate payment plans with clients in financial difficulty while safeguarding the company’s interests.
Senior Credit Controller Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a Credit Control role, ideally at a senior level.
  • Strong understanding of credit reporting and credit control processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and databases.
